1951 Rolex Oyster Perpetual 'Bubbleback' Men's Wrist-Watch

Very few watches have had as massive of an impact as the Rolex Oyster Perpetual has. In 1931 Rolex released their first Oyster Perpetual model, a groundbreaking moment for their brand as it signified the first time they incorporated an automatic movement in their watches. This automatic movement came with added thickness which would be the source for the OP's adored nickname 'Bubbleback' as it gave the watch a bulbous shape. The release of this model in particular the Rolex 6084 model was produced in 1951.
