Vintage 1960s Bulova Accutron 10K Gold Filled (Smooth Sweeping Seconds Hand)

The two main watch movements in the market are quartz and mechanical, however before quartz blew up on the watch scene, there were already other more electric oriented watch movements out there, one and perhaps the most famous of which being the Bulova Accutron. This movement was the first watch movement to incorporate a tuning fork, which until then had only been used for music equipment, and with the help of Engineer Max Hetzel, the result of this engineering feat was a movement that was accurate to a minute a month, and that had a completely smooth sweeping seconds hand.
