Serviced 1960s Voumard 2000 'Crownless' Men's Wine Red Dial Mechanical Wrist-Watch

Are you a watch collector who thinks they’ve seen it all? If you are then perhaps this rarity of the horological world may surprise you. Released in the 1960s this Voumard 2000 would be one of only a handful of mechanical wrist-watches to feature a hidden crown on the underside of the case. 

Capturing your attention is the stunning wine red dial that never ceases to impress and of which is paired perfectly with white indices and broad flat hands. 

Powering this watch is the in-house Voumard caliber 2500, a 17 jewel movement with an impressive 54 hour power reserve that offers reliable accuracy. 

Housing this watch is a case with wonderful sunburst brushing on the top along with a nice grain finish on the sides and case back. 

So, how do you operate this thing? That’s the first question that came to my mind when I first held it. Well as it turns out it's fairly straight forward. To wind the watch you simply rotate the crown counterclockwise and to set the time you gently push the crown out and once done you press it back in. 

Size: 35mm diameter, 1mm height, 19mm lug-to-lug width. 

Condition: In great condition with only gentle wear.

Movement Condition: The movement was serviced in September of 2023 and is currently running at (±) 8-11 seconds, a great amplitude rate of 250-260 & a beat error of 0.7MS.
