1967 Rolex Air King Silver Sunburst Men's Wrist-Watch

This watch has slept with the fishes, quite literally. This Rolex was presented to us with a story worthy of a short novel. This Rolex Air-King Ref:5500 was purchased by a man in the late 1960s and became his go-to piece, for over 50 years this Rolex belonged to this man until one fateful day while out fishing a much-worn out link failed and his watch was plummeted into the deep murky depths of a lake. Over four hours later the small search party were able to locate and retrieve the Rolex. The watch would develop an absolutely gorgeous patina from this event. The Rolex was sent out to our watchmaker where he preformed a miracle, he was able to restore the watch to an excellent degree of performance. As an attest of Rolex's excellent movements there is no rust to be found and looks & preforms as if it just came out of Switzerland. We now have the privilege to offer this iconic and certainly unique Rolex Air-King for you to add your own unique and exciting story.

Specifications: 

Size: 34mm diameter (36mm with crown), 11mm height, 19mm lug-to-lug width. Bracelet comes with all original links and fits wrists up to 8 inches in size. (Comes with a free Hadley Roma black strap.)

Condition: This Rolex was well-loved by its previous owner and has some natural wear marks that are expected but nothing that takes away from the beauty. The dial has a lovely unique patina. 

Movement condition: In flawless condition, freshly serviced and accurate to around -/+ 5/7 seconds per day.
