Citizen is often forgotten and underappreciated in the world of vintage watches as they’re often overlooked by the more priced Seiko’s and Swiss watch brands, but this 1978 Citizen REF: 71-1977 proves that Citizen as a whole deserves a whole lot more recognition.

When you first see this watch your eyes are immediately drawn towards the stunning stark white dial that is contrasted by the wonderfully aged hands and indices that have nice light green lume.

Powering this watch is the 21-jewel 8200 in-house movement that provides fantastic reliability, good accuracy and a day-date in both Mandarin and English with quick-set for convenience.

Housing this watch is a sleek steel case that gently sits on the wrist and is tied off with an amazing bracelet that looks stunning on the wrist.

Condition: In good condition with a gentle reliced feel.

Movement condition: In good condition and is currently running at (±) 5-9 seconds per day, amplitude of 230-240 and a beat error of .3-0.5MS.

Note: During inspection we found that the english Wednesday wheel section and date of 11th to have a scratch go through them, we believe this happened during a servicing at one point in time.

Size: 34.5mm diameter (36mm with crown), 11mm height, 18mm lug-lug width, bracelet size of 7 ½”.

This watch comes with a 60 day limited mechanical warranty.

Warranty does not cover damage inflicted post delivery.

All of our watches are inspected and serviced if required to function to the best of its capabilities. However please do note that vintage watches are susceptible to slight accuracy deviations and will not be as precise as modern timing equipment.

Due to the nature of vintage watches there may be signs of wear and cosmetic imperfections not to be considered as defects.

We do not offer any guarantees in regards to water resistance unless stated. Do not submerge your watch in water or expose it to high humidity conditions.
