1998 Seiko Kinetic Flashlight Dial Men's Wrist-Watch

Seiko created the Kinetic range to be the ultimate everyday watch. The movement was made to address the trade offs that both mechanical watches & quartz watches face; that being accuracy & longevity. 

This 1998 Seiko Kinetic is just the watch for those who want a piece of truly unique horological history. 

The main star of this watch is not the movement, however, the dial. This watch features an awesome ‘flashlight dial’ which means that instead of the dial having lume pips and lumed hands this watch has a lumed dial and non lumed hands and indices which creates a stunning effect that we lovingly named the flashlight dial. 

Powering this watch is the famous Seiko 5M43 Kinetic movement that was created to resolve the issue of quartz watches requiring battery swaps every two or so years by implementing one of mechanical watches greatest inventions, the automatic router. This watch’s router powers a capacitor that then feeds a quartz movement for razor sharp precision. This watch also features a day-date with quick-set. 

Housing this watch is a fantastic solid steel case that not only looks impressive on the dial but feels great as well with its gently sloped indices and its mixed polishing. 

Condition: In good condition with light wear attributed to previous years of loved wear. 

Movement: The movement received a new capacitor which won’t require swapping for the next 7-10 years. 

Note: The capacitor costs around $15-20 and can be swapped by any watchmaker with ease. 

This watch comes with a 90 day mechanical warranty.
