Seiko's design team hit the ball out of the park with this dial, a light matte blue dial is adorned with 9 vertical that frame the center of the dial, in-circling the center of the dial is a light gold ring that helps bring the eye to the center of the dial. At the 12 o'clock position is not an ordinary indice, instead there lays a 3d-triangular adornment that pushes the boundary of attention of detail that Seiko is well-known for.

The case is a encapsulates the design language of design of the era, a mixture of traditional rounded curves with the emerging popularity of sharp edges, this is most prominently seen along the lugs, which take a sharp 90 degree turn opposed to the traditional smooth curves. Powering this watch is

Seiko's 7009A movement, a 17 jewel automatic movement which provides hands free winding, a smooth 216000 VPH (or 6 ticks per second), a day/date complication (the day is changed by pushing in the crown), and excellent accuracy.

Condition: Produced in February of 1980 this Seiko 5 Ref#: 7009-876A is well over 40 years old however conditionally it is in near perfect condition, with such little noticeable wear that we wouldn't be surprised if it was only worn a handful of times. 

Size: 37.5mm diameter, 11mm height, 20mm lug to lug width. The bracelet can accommodate wrists up to 8" in size.

Movement Condition: Daily Rate of ± 5-11 seconds, amplitude of 240-260 & a beat error of 0.6 MS.
