[New Old Stock] 1978 Seiko 'Baby Oyster Perpetual' Deep Inky Black Dial Men's Wrist-Watch

This 1978 Seiko REF: 6309-8020 is just the watch for those who are looking for a watch with timeless charm and with that brand new experience.

This Seiko takes inspiration from the famous Rolex Oyster Perpetual in a few but noticeable ways yet while creating its own identity.

This watch features a deep inly black dial that is paired with chunky ‘KitKat’ indices that are full of Seiko’s Lumibrite lume and with mirror polished hands.

Powering this watch is the workhorse Seiko 6309 17-jewel automatic movement which provides good accuracy, reliability and a day-date with quick-set.

Housing this watch is a case that too takes notes from the Oyster, though incorporates Seiko’s design language and rounds it off to create a more gentle look.

Condition: This watch is brand new and has not been worn, as such it is in phenomenal condition. The only noticeable flaw is the patina on the minute hand.

Size: 38mm diameter, 11mm height, 20mm lug-to-lug width, bracelet size of 7 ¾”.

Movement Condition: The movement is currently running at ± 5-9 seconds per day, amplitude of 230-250 and a beat error of 0.6MS.
