This 1940s Lord Elgin is a watch that almost didn’t make it to the website, but alas I couldn’t justify adding a second watch to the collection this month. So, I’m hoping it sells before I decide to keep it for myself!

This watch features a beautiful peppered cream dial that is paired with gold toned indices and hands that play wonderfully in the light.

Powering this watch is a USA made Elgin 556 21-jewel manual wind movement that is beautifully decorated and shows the best of American watch manufacturing.

Housing this watch is a wonderful 14K gold filled rectangle case that sits comfortably on the wrist.

Size: 25mm width (27mm with crown), 33mm length, 10mm height, 16mm lug width.

Condition: In good condition with some wear expected on an 80 year old watch.

Movement condition: The movement was serviced in March of 2026 and is currently running within 30 seconds per day, amplitude of 250-260, and a beat error of 0.2MS.

This watch comes with a 60 day limited mechanical warranty.

Warranty does not cover damage inflicted post delivery.

All watches marked as ‘serviced’ have undergone full disassembly, inspection, repairs if needed, cleaning, reassembly, lubrication, and timing adjustments to ensure the watch is running to the best of its capability.

Returns are allowed within 7 calendar days with the day of delivery counting as one.

All of our watches are inspected and serviced if required to function to the best of its capabilities. However please do note that vintage watches are susceptible to slight accuracy deviations and will not be as precise as modern timing equipment.

Due to the nature of vintage watches there may be signs of wear and cosmetic imperfections not to be considered as defects.

We do not offer any guarantees in regards to water resistance unless stated. Do not submerge your watch in water or expose it to high humidity conditions.
